The Skyparks Robotic Parking System is also extremely environmentally friendly with a recent independent report comparing a Skyparks Robotic Parking System to a conventional multi story car park showing an 82% saving in energy costs and CO2 emissions in addition to other significant environmental benefits.

When the Skyparks Robotic Parking System is reviewed for a LEED assessment then a potential of 12 credits can be awarded over a conventional car park. The reduction in building footprint will benefit in achieving credits for maximising open space and storm water control. Reducing light pollution due to a reduction in lighting required to operate the facility would lead to a reduction in energy consumption which can also lead to an Innovation in Design credit.

Other areas which an SRPS will score over a conventional car park is the promotion of designated car parking spaces for low emission vehicles and the ability to include an SRPS type facility in existing buildings therefore promoting building reuse will achieve points under LEED.
